| This caught my attention from a friend's facebook note. Because AACM's last Talent Show promoted awareness about human trafficking, I found this to hit very close to home.... Literally. I think I live a few miles from the location the Austin police busted. Apparently, it's the first situation of this type of crime in Austin. Let's hope and pray that it's the only one in this city =/

| In 4 days since I last filled up my car, the gas price at the Shell station by my apartment has gone up 8 cents, from $3.79/gallon to $3.87/gallon. Ridiculous. It's only the beginning of June and I'm starting to truly believe that Austin's Regular Unleaded Gas prices will reach and go beyond $4/gallon this summer. I keep hoping it won't reach $4/gallon in Texas because we have our own oil and all that, but it doesn't seem too hopeful anymore. I used to only pay $20-$25/tank about a year ago and now I'm paying $35-$40/tank. When will the rise in gas prices stop, decrease, or plateau? Sigh... I still remember when gas prices were less than a $1/gallon.
